Weather Forecast for Nov 4: Rains In Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru; Central India to remain dry

Up in North, a Western Disturbance is moving away towards eastern parts North of Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation has now moved away.
Northerly cool winds are expected to prevail over Northwest plains and its adjoining areas. Rain activity is expected to reduce significantly over hills but scattered light rains can be expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However we can expect snowfall at the higher reaches.

Morning in the northwest plains would be misty and little hazy. Both, day and night temperatures would see a marginal drop over the plains. Delhi would continue to experience dry and cool weather with misty morning.
 

A Cyclonic Circulation prevails over Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining parts of Assam in the lower levels. Due to this, scattered rain thundershower activities would be seen over Arunachal Pradesh and at few places of Assam and rest of northeastern states. Light fog might be observed during morning hours in Northeast India.
 
North Northwesterly winds are expected to blow over East India thus continuing with dry weather. Isolated light rain might occur Coastal Odisha and Kolkata would experience
comfortable weather conditions with hazy morning.
 
Drop in day and night temperature would be observed after 24 hours.
 
In Central India, an Anti-Cyclone is over Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of Odisha. Thus, we expect dry weather to continue over Central parts of the country. We can see a trough running between East-central Arabian Sea up till North Madhya Maharashtra. This system might give scattered light rain activities over Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai might experience short spell of rain whereas Vidarbha would remain dry.

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form over South-central Bay of Bengal which is likely to turn into a low pressure area eventually. Due to absence of any significant system close to that area, rain thundershower activities would reduce significantly over South Peninsula.
 
However we can expect scattered light rain over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka and few places of Telangana, Kerala and North Interior Karnataka. This activity is expected to continue for next 48 hours. Chennai and Bengaluru would witness partly cloudy sky with light rains in offing.
