Weather Forecast for Oct 16: Rain in Peninsular India, Delhi and North India remain dry

The cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep Islands and Kerala region is persisting for the last few days. Tomorrow, rainfall activities will remain confined to Kerala and Lakshadweep Islands. Over here, many places will receive light to moderate showers. One or two places in Kerala could receive heavy showers as well. But, rainfall over Tamil Nadu will remain subdued and weather in Chennai will remain dry and sultry. Scattered rains will continue to occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The upper air cyclonic circulation over Meghalaya and adjoining areas persists. It will bring scattered rains over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Isolated rains may occur over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.

North and Central India will have cool nights but day temperatures will remain in mid-thirties over northern and western parts of the country. Maximums will be lower thirties over most parts of Central India. We could see marginal drop in minimums but maximums will remain stable. Clear sky bright will make the afternoon hours a little warm.
