The Southwest Monsoon 2018 has finally completed its withdrawal from India, paving way for Northeast Monsoon.
Beginning with South India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coast. A trough is seen extending from this system up till Goa. One more Cyclonic Circulation is over Lakshadweep Area. Major weather activities in terms of rain will take place on either side of coastal parts of extreme southern parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
However, this rain activity is going to take a dip further till the arrival of Northeast Monsoon.
Up in North, a changeover is seen wherein we can see pleasantly cool mornings with dip in night temperatures as well. It seems like winters are around the corner. On Monday, Delhi experienced it’s first coldest morning as minimum dropped to 15 degree-Celsius.
Talking about weather systems, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir, which would give light rains over Jammu and Kashmir region only. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Rajasthan, Punjab and adjoining areas of Pakistan. However, it would not be able to give any weather activity for the next 24 hours. Subsequently, yes, some weather activity can be witnessed.
Also, these weather systems have pushed the Anti-cyclone over East Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh region. Due to this, dry weather will prevail over entire Central India, with Gujarat witnessing warm weather.
There seems a confluence zone over Odisha and Madhya Pradesh and because of this light rain activity can be witnessed over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
In the eastern parts of country, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will experience dry weather. However, scattered rains can be seen over few parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
