In North India, a Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir and a feeble cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Moreover, the axis of Monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of Himalayas.
Thus, scattered light rains are possible over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and parts of Punjab. The weather over Northwestern plains will remain mostly dry, however isolated rains cannot be ruled out over Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
Moving to east and northeast regions, a north-south trough is seen extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to Coastal Odisha. Also, a cyclonic circulation is seen over East Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura.
With these weather systems, light rain is likely over North Bihar, while Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha may witness one or two moderate spells. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura could see light to moderate rains.

Coming to Central India, a cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Madhya Pradesh. So, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are likely over South Madhya Pradesh. Scattered light to moderate showers are also possible over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Gujarat region.

A trough is extending from Southwest Madhya Pradesh up to Kerala across Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka. Due to this, light to moderate rains are expected over Konkan and Goa, adjoining Madhya Maharashtra, north interior as well as coastal parts of Karnataka and Kerala. Light rain is also possible over Interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Talking about major cities of India, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru will witness light to moderate rains, whereas Chennai and Kolkata would record light showers.
