Another spell of widespread rain and snow is here for the hills of North India. With a fresh as well as active Western Disturbance is now over Jammu and Kashmir. While its induced Cyclonic is marked over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab and Haryana.

Due to this, light to moderate rain and snow with one or two heavy spells can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh whereas, scattered rains can be witnessed over Uttarakhand. With this, we can now expect some chilly days and nights ahead for the hills. Devotees travelling to Vaishno Devi this weekend would also have to battle extremely cold weather conditions.

Meanwhile, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Northwest and West Rajasthan might also receive scattered rains. Not only this, parts of Punjab and Uttarakhand can also witness some hailstorm activities. However, Delhi would remain dry with air quality hovering between poor to very poor category.

Plains are also likely to see marginal rise in minimums, bringing some respite from chilly nights.

Heading to Central India, an Anti-Cyclone over Chhattisgarh will keep the weather over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh dry and sunny. Change in winds with some clouding is expected over parts of Gujarat; minimums may rise marginally over Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra and maximums might fall marginally.

In East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is seen over Manipur and its adjoining areas. This can give light rains over isolated pockets of Arunachal Pradesh and East Assam. Talking about eastern parts, marginal rise in the minimums of East Uttar Pradesh can be seen whereas, temperature of rest eastern states will remain unchanged.
