Beginning with North India, where a Cyclonic Circulation is over Uttar Pradesh. A Western Disturbance can be seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Also, a Trough is extending from Pakistan towards Bihar. We expect light to moderate rains and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Few heavy spells are expected over Himachal Pradesh. Whereas very heavy rains and snow await Uttarakhand clubbed with chances of hailstorm. The Western and Central parts of Uttar Pradesh may also receive intense rain and thundershower activities during the next 24 hours. Delhi NCR as well as Northern Punjab and Haryana may receive patchy rains.
Coming on to East and Northeast India, where East Uttar Pradesh, foothills of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may receive light to moderate rains. Weather of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha will remain almost dry. However, minimum temperatures may increase over these areas by one to two degrees. Weather of Northeast India will also remain almost dry. However, light rains may occur over upper Assam and parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Talking about Central India, where a Trough is extending from a Cyclonic Circulation over Uttar Pradesh to Vidarbha across East Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, we expect light rain at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh and parts of Chhattisgarh. However, weather of Maharashtra, western parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat as well as South Rajasthan will remain almost dry. Minimum temperatures are expected to fall further over Western parts of Rajasthan as well as parts of Gujarat.
Lastly in South India, where we do not expect any significant weather activities over these areas. Weather will remain dry over entire South Peninsula. Isolated thundery activity might be seen over coastal Karnataka. Light rains may occur at a few places over Lakshadweep area.
