The system is now moving away in east-northeast direction also the incursion of northwesterly winds is happening over the eastern states. Therefore, fog is a high probability in many parts of Bihar, North Jharkhand and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Up in the north the remnants of the Western disturbance over the northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir may give light rain or snowfall at isolated places mainly over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. In the wake of this system, the northwesterly cold winds are also affecting Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Due to high moisture content, moderate to dense fog is likely to be observed at several places in the plains of Northwest India. The night temperature will decrease marginally while the day temperature will rise by a few degrees.
