January 19, 2019 6:36 PM |

A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching and now lies over North Pakistan and is likely to move further eastward. The upper air trough is extending up to upper troposphere level. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation has formed over Southwest Rajasthan and Central Pakistan. A trough is seen extending between these two systems. While, Uttarakhand might witness light rain and snow activity.

Rise in minimums is expected over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Shallow fog/mist is likely at many places. Rain and thundershower activities might start over some parts of West Punjab and extreme North Rajasthan by the late evening of January 20. It will eventually cover the other parts of the states.

Day temperatures can see a rise but will remain comfortable. Since the winds are light in nature, haziness would persist. The national territory might see a rise in pollution levels as well.

In East/Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Tripura and adjoining Southeast Bangladesh. Due to the presence of northeast winds, very light rains might be observed at few places of Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining Assam.
