Weather Forecast July 6: Heavy rains to lash Jabalpur, Sagar, and Satna, Intense Monsoon showers likely in Delhi

The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Barmer, Jodhpur, Sikar, Rohtak, Chandigarh, Una and Amritsar. Also, Monsoon has finally reached Delhi.

In Central India, a Low-Pressure Area is over Southeast Uttar Pradesh and adjoining North Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Thus, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is possible over Southeast Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, East Madhya Pradesh and parts of Chhattisgarh.
While scattered light rains will be a sight in rest of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Madhya Maharashtra. Isolated light rains will be seen over Marathwada and Kutch. Mumbai might witness moderate showers at few places.

Heading to East and Northeast India, a trough is extending from the Low-Pressure Area to the Bay of Bengal across Jharkhand and West Bengal. A Cyclonic Circulation is also over Assam. Hence, the intensity and spread of rain might increase over Northeast India. Many parts in the region are expected to witness good rains with few heavy spells. Light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells will be seen over the parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim with scattered rains over Odisha.

Up in the North, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and a trough is extending from this system to the Bay of Bengal across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Low-Pressure Area.
Now, we expect few intense spells of rains over parts of Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh. While scattered rains will be seen over Punjab, North Rajasthan with heavy rains over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, Jammu and Kashmir will get to see light rains.

Finally, down South, an off-shore trough is extending from Karnataka up to Kerala coast. Light to moderate with one or two heavy spells of rain might occur over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Whereas, light to moderate rains will be seen over parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Scattered rains will be witnessed in Interior Karnataka. However, the weather of Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu will be almost dry with isolated light rains.
