Weather Forecast Nov 12: Bulbul dissipates, rain in Jaisalmer & Bengaluru, Delhi AQI to rise

November 11, 2019 8:34 PM |

North and Northwest India, a feeble Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over central parts of Pakistan. Thus, we expect scattered light rain in Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated light snowfall may also occur over the upper reaches. On the other hand, the weather of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand as well as plains of Northwest India would remain dry. Minimums which were dropping until now, would marginally rise due to the presence of medium and high clouds. Delhi pollution will remain in poor to very poor category over most places, while in severe category at one or two places.

Coming on to Central India, after a prolonged dry spell, light rain would make a comeback over the western parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat. A Trough is extending from Central Pakistan up to Gujarat. Thus, the western districts of Rajasthan such as Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Barmer may receive light rain. Isolated rains are also likely in parts of Saurashtra and Kutch. On the other hand, the weather of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Marathwada would remain dry. Meanwhile, isolated light rain is likely in South Konkan and Goa as well as Madhya Maharashtra. Mumbai would experience dry weather only.

Talking about east and Northeast India, Cyclone Bulbul has faded away, however, its remnants would give scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells in Northeast India. Meanwhile, due to dry winds over East India, we do not expect any weather activity in East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.

Lastly in South India, ongoing moderate to heavy rain in Kerala will slow down now and we expect light to moderate rain in Kerala, parts of Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. Isolated light rain is likely over rest Tamil Nadu and parts of Rayalaseema. The weather of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka would be mainly dry. Isolated thundery activity or light rain is likely in Chennai and Bengaluru while moderate showers may appear over Kochi. The weather of Hyderabad, however, will remain dry.
