In North India, a Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. A Trough is extending from Southeast Pakistan up to Jammu across this circulation. Thus, light to moderate rain is likely in West Rajasthan while scattered light rain may occur over North Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Haryana and Punjab. Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer and Sirsa are likely to see these rains. Meanwhile, scattered rain and snow may occur over Jammu and Kashmir and North Himachal Pradesh. Isolated activities are likely over Uttarakhand as well. Clouding will increase over northwestern plains. Morning temperatures are likely to rise by 1-2 degree celcius. Delhi pollution would remain in hazardous category and day temperatures may drop marginally.
Talking about Central India, due to the same Trough, parts of Gujarat may record light rainfall activities. Rain is also likely in parts of Konkan region. Ratnagiri, Dahanu, Rajkot, Bhuj and Dwarka stand a chance to see these rains. Weather will remain dry over rest parts of Central India. Moderate easterlies would prevail. The temperatures would rise in Mumbai and afternoon may be hot.
Coming on to East and Northeast India, the Cyclonic Circulation over Nagaland has moved away and easterlies are prevailing over the region. A Trough is extending from North Bay of Bengal up to the northern parts of Bangladesh. Fog and mist would prevail in parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Odisha, Tripura and Meghalaya. Haziness would persist over the rest parts. Meanwhile, isolated rains are likely in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Day and night temperatures would drop marginally over the region. On the other hand, East India will remain mainly dry. Shallow fog would persist in Kolkata during early morning hours followed by a comfortable day.
Down South, a Trough is extending in the lower levels from Sri Lanka up to extreme south of Andhra Pradesh Coast. Thus, light to moderate rain may occur over South Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu Coast. Nellore, Tirupathi, Chennai, Puducherry and Pamban may see these rains. Scattered light rain is likely in Kerala, Rayalaseema, South Telangana and Karnataka Coast. There are chances of light rain in Bengaluru, Mengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and Goa. The northern parts of Telangana and Karnataka, however, will remain mainly dry.
