November 18, 2019 5:36 PM |

A Trough is extending from west-central Bay of Bengal to south-west Bay of Bengal. Therefore, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are possible over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala.

Also, light rain at few places of Coastal and South Interior Karnataka can be a sight. The weather of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka will be dry. Chennai may receive patchy showers with light rain likely over Bengaluru. While Hyderabad will be dry.

Moving further to east and Northeast India, wherein a Cyclonic Circulation is over East Assam and adjoining areas. Hence, scattered rain and snow will be seen over Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain along with one or two moderate spells can be seen over East Assam and Meghalaya. Moderate to dense fog very likely in isolated pockets over South Assam and Meghalaya.

Amidst this, Nagaland may see light rain. Whereas weather of rest Northeast India and East India will be dry. There will be a marginal decrease in minimums over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Up in the North, the Western Disturbance is over North Afghanistan and adjoining areas. The northwesterly winds will continue to blow over the northwestern plains of our country however the windspeed may reduce. We expect a further decrease in the minimums of Punjab Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

The weather of Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be dry whereas the sky over Jammu and Kashmir may be partly cloudy to cloudy. As the wind speed will decrease, then Delhiites may see a marginal rise in pollution levels. This reduction in wind speed can be attributed to the upcoming Western Disturbance.

Heading to central India, wherein an Anti-Cyclone is over Southeast Rajasthan. We do not expect any activity over the central parts of our country however due to dry winds from the north and northeast, the minimums of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha may drop further.
