Weather Forecast Nov 21: Heavy rain, snow likely in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal

An active Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan. Therefore, light to moderate rain and snow with one or two heavy spells is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh with isolated spells to be seen over Uttarakhand. The northwestern plains of the country will witness dry weather conditions. Along with this, Delhi pollution may increase further and may land in a very poor to severe category.

Down South, a Trough is extending from southwest Bay of Bengal to the west-central Bay of Bengal. Due to this, light to moderate rain may continue over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Tamil Nadu. Chennai may receive one or two moderate spells of rain. Interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior, and Coastal Karnataka and parts of Rayalaseema may receive light rain and thundershowers at few places. Whereas Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh will be dry.

Meanwhile, in Central India, an Anti-Cyclone is over East Madhya Pradesh. Dry weather will continue over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and most parts of Maharashtra. However, isolated light rain may occur over South Konkan and South Madhya Maharashtra.

Heading to eastern and northeastern states of our country wherein a Cyclonic Circulation is over Manipur and Mizoram. Thus, isolated light rain is a possibility over the northeastern states. But the weather will be dry over the eastern states of our country. Shallow fog and mist are possible in parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and East Odisha.
