September 8, 2019 6:47 PM |

Starting with Central India, a Low Pressure Area lies over Northeast Madhya Pradesh. Thus, heavy rains are likely at some places over Madhya Pradesh, and at one or two places over South Uttar Pradesh. Also, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over coastal parts of Saurashtra and Kutch. Simultaneously, an off shore trough is extending from Gujarat to North Kerala. Due to this, heavy to very heavy rains are expected over coastal parts of Saurashtra and Gujarat. Mumbai will continue with moderate rains. Waterlogging might create some difficulties.

Talking about East and Northeast India! Here, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over lower Assam. This will bring heavy rains over many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Lower Assam and at one or two places over East Bihar. Light to moderate rains are likely over many places in Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. Odisha, Chhattisgarh and rest Northeast India will also receive light to moderate rains. Heavy showers might be seen at one or two places like that of Guwahati. Kolkata city will remain mainly warm and humid with chances of moderate rains.

Coming towards North India, a feeble Western Disturbance as an upper air Trough is moving over across North J&K. Due to this, the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh may receive light spells of rains. Punjab, Haryana and West Rajasthan would remain mostly dry with very warm weather and a partly cloudy sky. East Rajasthan however would see light to moderate rains and thundershowers. Delhi will remain very warm and humid along with a cloudy sky. Air quality will remain in satisfactory levels. East Uttar Pradesh will experience light to moderate rains while western parts would remain mostly dry.

Lastly South India! Due to the persistence of an off-Shore Trough extending from Gujarat to Kerala, coastal parts of Karnataka will receive moderate rains and thundershowers. While interior Karnataka as well as North Kerala will see light rains. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, South Telangana, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh will remain dry and warm. However, North Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will receive light spells. Weather in Bengaluru will remain comfortable with chances of light rains. Hyderabad will remain dry and humid.
