Weather Forecast Sept 16: Chances of rain in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad, heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh

Beginning with Central India, due to the presence of a Cyclonic Circulation over Madhya Pradesh, heavy showers are possible at some places over Southwest parts of Madhya Pradesh. Other parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will experience light to moderate rains and thundershowers at many places.Also, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northeast Arabian Sea off Gujarat coast. Due to this, Southeast Gujarat, Konkan and Goa coast, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada might see light to moderate rains and thundershowers. Weather in Mumbai will remain humid and comfortable with chances of moderate rain.

Coming onto North India, here a feeble Western Disturbance lies over higher latitudes North Jammu and Kashmir. Its associated Cyclonic Circulation lies over Southern parts of Haryana and adjoining Northwest Rajasthan. Due to the presence of these two systems, the rain and thundershowers are likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.

Talking about East and Northeast India, as the eastern end of Axis of Monsoon Trough is passing through northern parts of Madhya Pradesh, and further moving eastwards over Mizoram. Due to this system, moderate rains are likely over Bihar, North Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Northeast states. One or two places might even witness heavy showers. Light rains are also likely at some places over Gangetic West Bengal, South Jharkhand and Odisha. Otherwise weather will be mainly warm and humid along with a cloudy sky. Kolkata will remain warm, humid and uneasy. However, short spells of light rain cannot be ruled out over the city.

Lastly in South India, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal off North Tamil Nadu coast. Due to this system, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala will experience light to moderate rains. The city of Chennai and Hyderabad will remain very warm and humid along with chances of moderate rain. Bengaluru will remain mainly comfortable along with a cloudy sky.
