September 18, 2019 6:34 PM |

A Cyclonic Circulation is over Madhya Maharashtra and a Trough is extending from Northeast Arabian Sea to Bay of Bengal across Maharashtra and Telangana. These systems will give moderate to heavy rains over North Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa. Whereas, rains over Vidarbha, Marathwada and many parts of Madhya Pradesh will be light to moderate with one or two heavy spells. South Chhattisgarh and South Gujarat may see scattered light to moderate rains.

Mumbai may receive moderate to heavy spells which may lead to typical Monsoon conditions over here and would result in waterlogging and traffic chaos. Nashik, Pune, Malegaon, Nagpur and Akola are likely to witness good rains.

Down South, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will see light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells. The rainfall activities may also increase over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. We expect moderate rains with one or two heavy spells over these regions of Karnataka.

Hyderabad and Chennai may see moderate rains with light rains over Bengaluru. Light to moderate rains can also be seen over Rayalaseema, Kerala and parts of Tamil Nadu. Whereas, Andaman and Nicobar will see heavy rains and fishermen are strictly advised not to venture in the sea.

In the eastern parts of our country, due to flowing of humid winds from the Bay of Bengal, light rains with few moderate spells can be seen over Odisha, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh and Northeastern states. While West Bengal and Bihar may get scattered light rains.

Up in the North, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan, but its impact will not be seen over the northern parts of India. Therefore, weather over most parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan will be dry. However, isolated light rains can be seen over Northern districts of Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, and isolated pockets of Delhi. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may see scattered light rains.
