The Indian Premier League has begun, and the cricket fever has been reaching its peaks amongst cricket enthusiasts. Until now, Dhoni and his Chennai Super Kings army, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders have won one game each. Amongst the losers are Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils whose baton has been handed t our very own Delhi boy Gautam Gambhir.
The most exciting match so far has been the inaugural match between the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings, where the West Indies star, DJ Bravo literally snatched the game away from the Mumbai Indians. Injured Kedar Jadhav provided those ten runs at the end which sent Chennai Super Kings towards victory in their first match after the two-year ban.
Today, another banned team, Rajasthan Royals is all set to take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad, both the teams will play their first games. The coincidence here is that both the teams changed their Australian captains, Steve Smith and David Warner after the ball tampering incident resulted in a 12-month ban. Now, Ajinkya Rahane is leading the Royals while Kane Williamson has been handed the Sunrisers captaincy.
The match is scheduled to be played at 8:00 PM today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Weather wise, Hyderabad has been receiving rain almost daily. Now also isolated rains are expected to occur. Thus, along with partly cloudy conditions, there are chances of light rains before the beginning of the match or during the game. Thus, minor interruption is expected during the game or a delayed start may also occur. Coming to temperatures, they will remain on the comfortable side, at around 27-28 degrees. Humidity will be on the high with light southeasterly blowing over the region.
