Ratnagiri Rain

After a very significant lull period of Monsoon over West Coast of India, it looks like the time has finally come for the good Monsoon rains to pound the region with incessant rainfall. At present the situation of Monsoon seem to be active over West Coast especially over Konkan and Goa.

And as a result, Ratnagiri which is in the southern half of Maharashtra received a whopping rainfall figure of 101 mm. As of now the chances of good rain over the region is likely due to active Monsoon surge over the entire West Coast.

Even yesterday, the place received close to triple digit rainfall figure of 98 mm. Chances of heavy rain are likely for the next 24-48 hour. This heavy rainfall can be attributed to the active Monsoon system over the region.

Till now intermittent light rain had been going on over several areas of West Coast. However, in last 24-48 hours, Monsoon has become active over West Coast and heavy to intermittent heavy rain has occurred over various places on the coast. The trend is expected to continue for another 24 hours.

Regions like Ratnagiri, Goa, and North coastal Karnataka are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
