After a brief dry spell, rain to revive over Central India

Weather of most parts of Central India has gone almost dry since last 2-3 days. Scattered light to moderate rain occurred over Madhya Pradesh and parts of Chhattisgarh during last 24 hours.

The last weather system which intensified into a deep depression has moved over southeast Pakistan and degenerated. In the absence of any significant weather system and dry winds from west and Northwest, weather of Rajasthan Gujarat most parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra has gone dry.

However, Monsoon is going to revive over Chhattisgarh, east and Central Madhya Pradesh as well as over parts of Vidarbha during the next 24 hours. A trough will be extending from interior Tamil Nadu northeast Madhya Pradesh. This trough will gradually shift to West.

Many parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada will start receiving rain activities. Light to moderate rain may also occur over Madhya Maharashtra and western parts of Madhya Pradesh from august 30. However, we do not expect any significant rain over Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Most parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan will witness dry and warm weather conditions for at least next one week or so. But isolated light rain cannot be ruled out over East Rajasthan and South Gujarat.
