October is a month of weather transition for the plains of North India before the season of Winter sets in. This month usually brings in pleasant weather for the states of Punjab, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Sky remains clear and night temperatures usually show a decline in October. Moreover, this year, Delhi’s minimum temperatures even dipped to the mark of 15° C, which is considered as below-normal temperature for the month.

Apart from this, October brings in drop in humidity and an abundance of sunshine. The absence of rains brings in a decline of discomfort for the common man from the ht and sultry weather in Monsoon season.

Both the months of October and November see least rainfall activities. Currently, Haryana and Punjab, both are rain deficient by 82% and 80%, respectively.

However, in the last 24 hours Jaisalmer, Bikaner and a few other places in West Rajasthan have experienced light rains. Now, the Cyclonic Circulation which was persistent in West Rajasthan has shifted to East Rajasthan. Because the Cyclonic Circulation has come in the vicinity of Delhi NCR, the city would witness change in weather. Winds have already gone light, there is an increase in the moisture content and clouding can be experienced across NCR. Isolated rains are also possible but chances are bleak. On account if this, the minimum temperatures will not show any drop in the next two days.
