Bangalore continues to witness Subdued Rains

Bangalore Rains

Bangalore has seen a mixed spell of Monsoon this year. The month of June as well as July was showery enough for the city so much so that some areas of the city even recorded heavy showers.

Nevertheless, the month of August has only brought bad news for Bangalore. The silicon city has remained practically dry since the beginning of August. Only traces of rainfall have been observed over the city and that too on just a couple of occasions.

Meanwhile from past 4 to 5 days, isolated light rains have been recorded over few parts of the city. Where most parts of Interior Karnataka remained dry, light to moderate showers were witnessed over Karnataka coast and adjoining South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, both the observatories in Bangalore recorded 8 mm of rainfall.

Further, we expect light patchy rains to occur in some parts of the city for next 48 hours. Thereafter, once again the city will witness dry weather conditions.

As of now, there is no significant weather system which can induce any rain activity over interior parts of Karnataka. Hence subdued rains will continue over the region.
