Bengaluru to continue witnessing good rains

Bengaluru rains have been good enough during the month of August. Not only this, since the first day of September, Monsoon rains have been lashing the capital city of Karnataka. In fact, on the first day itself, heavy rains to the tune of 72 mm were witnessed over the garden city of India.

A day before also, the city also witnessed a good amount of rain. In fact, rains did not take a backseat during the last 24 hours as well and moderate showers were recorded over the state capital. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Bengaluru recorded a good 21.8 mm of rainfall taking the rainfall count of September to 127 mm.

These rains are attributed to the presence of a trough which is running from Rayalaseema up to the Gulf of Mannar. Thus, the trough is running close to Bengaluru which is why the city has been witnessing good showers for quite some time now. Moisture incursion has resulted in cloud development which furthermore caused rains in the capital city of Bengaluru.
