The northern parts of Punjab witnessed light rain and thundershowers at isolated places. Meanwhile, rest all parts of Punjab and Haryana remained dry and warm during the last 24 hours.

At present, the Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. This system will be moving away during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, another active Western Disturbance would be affecting from April 16, over Punjab and Haryana.

In the wake of these weather systems, dust storm and thundershowers with squally winds would be occurring over many places while, hailstorm is also expected in isolated places between April 16 and 17 in Punjab and Haryana.

Places like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Bhatinda, Ludhiana, Patiala, Moga, Mansa, Firozpur, Ambala, Jind, Karnal, Hisar, Sirsa, Rohtak, Gurugram and Faridabad will witness these weather activities.

As ruby crop harvesting is on progress, this system is expected to damage crops in the region.

Thus, we can say that during the next 48 hours, the temperatures will be increasing over most parts of Punjab and Haryana. However, from April 16, day temperatures will drop significantly, and night temperatures will continue to increase.

Further from April 18, weather conditions will start improving in Punjab and Haryana with rise in day temperatures and fall in night temperatures.
