As per Skymet Weather, a trough is extending from the east central Bay of Bengal to Tamil Nadu coast at the surface level. Due to this system, the northern parts of the state will continue to witness light to moderate rain. Good rains are expected to occur mainly in the coastal areas of the state. However, the interior parts of the state may continue to witness cloudy sky with mainly light showers.

However, morning will be comfortable, warm and humid days with some light rains will prevail in Chennai.

Except for the southeastern parts of the state that are likely to remain warm and dry, light rain will keep on occurring in the interior parts of the state. Famous tourist spots such as Ooty and Kodaikanal may also receive scattered light rains with cloudy sky.
