March 13, 2017 12:41 PM |

snowfall-Dal-Lake-in-Kashmir-IndiaAfter a prolonged spell of rain and snow, clear weather conditions have once again made a comeback over the hilly region of North India.

At present, entire states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are covered under the white blanket of snow. All thanks to back to back Western Disturbances affecting Western Himalayas.

Now that the Western Disturbances have cleared away the region, dry and clear weather has returned to the region. According to Skymet Weather, mainly dry weather conditions will prevail over the region during the next 24 hours. However, remnants of the system may give isolated rains over few places of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Thereafter, weather will become completely dry with bright sunny sky conditions will show up over the states.

In wake of this, maximum temperatures that have been significantly below normal will once again start crawling back to normal. Similarly, night temperatures will also start increasing but the rise will be a gradual one.

According to weathermen, this might be the last spell of rain and snow for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. As we proceed further, both the frequency and intensity of Western Disturbance will become less. Though, more Disturbances are likely in the coming days but they will be now moving in the higher latitudes only, that would not have much impact over the weather over the hilly region.
