The state of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh had been witnessing comfortable weather conditions during the day. In fact, there was a rise in the maximum temperatures in the last three to four days due to which the chill during the day completely took a backseat.
However, today, the residents of the cities of Lucknow, Indore, Kanpur, Gwalior, and Agra have been observing significant clouding. Due to this condition, there has been a drop in the maximum temperature and residents can feel slight chill in the air.

Currently, the Western Disturbance as a deep amplitude trough and southward located Jet stream winds in the upper levels are causing persistent clouding over Northwest as well as Central India. Thus, medium and high clouds are extending over the region.
This weather condition is likely to last for another day or so. Thereafter, the cloud mass will weaken. Due to the persistent clouding, day temperatures are expected to witness a drop for another day while minimum temperature is likely to observe a slight rise.
However, after the clouding reduces, a fall in the minimum temperatures is expected over the cities of Lucknow, Indore, Kanpur, Gwalior, Agra tomorrow night onward. Today, due to the clouding, the possibility of a few sprinkles of rain cannot be ruled out over isolated pockets.
