Cool mornings ahead in Delhi, NCR

October 18, 2013 2:58 PM |

Northerly winds from the Himalayas are expected to pull down the above normal night temperatures by 3 degrees in Delhi during the next two to three days. Delhi recorded 21.8 degrees as minimum on Friday whereas the normal temperature in the city is 19.4 for the month of October. Day temperatures in the capital and adjoining northwest plains will remain above or near normal during this period.

Weather in Indo-Gangetic plains and central India will also experience northerly winds and a fall of 1 to 2 degrees in minimum temperature is expected during the next two days. Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh recorded 19.5 degrees while Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh recorded 22.1 degrees as morning minimum on Friday

However night temperatures in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will remain above normal as rain is being experienced in these parts and winds are easterlies. A fall in minimum temperature in Bihar is expected after next two days with decrease in rain. Minimums in southern India will also remain warm and humid due to cloud cover and rain during the coming few days.
