Delhi rains had made an appearance after a long time on January 23. Since then, the city remained fog free for some time and clear weather was observed. However, that weather condition did not stay the same for long and conditions changed once again.
In fact, between January 26 and January 28, Delhi woke up to dense fog during the morning hours and minimums also dropped to quite an extent during that time. Both the minimums and maximums had witnessed a massive fall.
However, since January 29, foggy conditions cleared up and sunny days were being observed over the national capital. Moreover, both the maximum as well as minimum temperatures saw an increase resulting in comfortable weather during the day and nights which were not too cold.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, these weather conditions are expected to continue over the region for the next 3 to 4 days. Thereafter, rains may make an appearance over the national capital around February 6 and 7.

A Western Disturbance is expected to approach the Western Himalayan region around February 5. In view of this, an induced cyclonic circulation will also form over North Rajasthan and Haryana region. With this, moisture incursion will take place from Arabian Sea in the form of southwesterly winds leading to rain and thundershowers in some parts of Delhi-NCR.
During this period, Delhi and its adjoining areas of Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad are expected to witness light rains with isolated moderate showers. After the commencement of rains, day temperatures are expected to witness a drop by 4-5 degrees. Moreover, the minimums are also likely to witness some fall during that time.
