Delhi Rain

Delhi and the NCR region have witnessed a good June in terms of Pre-Monsoon showers. While extremely hot weather did cause some trouble to the Delhiites, rain gods kept on bestowing their kindness on several occasions.

In fact, last week also, Delhi and the NCR region had recorded good spells of rains for about two to three days. Traffic chaos was observed in many parts of Delhi and almost entire Gurugram which had become Gurujam for some time.

Thus, Delhi and the NCR region has surpassed its monthly rainfall for June. So far, the city has already recorded 102 mm of rain against its monthly average of 82.2 mm.

However, during the last three to four days, Delhi heat has once again taken over and rains have been in hiding. Humidity is on the high resulting in discomfort.

But good news awaits the residents of the Delhi and the NCR region. The national capital may experience another spell of rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours. Southwest Monsoon which has been advancing at a faster pace is around the corner.

The intensity of rains may increase tomorrow onward. Hot and humid weather will give way for comfortable weather conditions.

Sky conditions will be overcast and we expect Monsoon may make an onset over Delhi and the NCR in the next 48 hours. On and off rains are expected to continue for the entire week with Delhiites enjoying Monsoon showers.
