Kolkata Weather 1

Since last two days, it seems like rain gods have been benevolent over Kolkata. The city witnessed intermittent showers activity during this time frame. Let’s just look at the weather duirng the past 24 hours, Dum Dum observatory in Kolkata recorded rains to the tune of 13 mm, while Alipore observatory saw 7 mm of rains.

These showers can be credited to the deep depression which was over Northwest Bay of Bengal. Now, this weather system has weakened into a low pressure area and centered over North Bay of Bengal. Further gradual weakening of the system is likely and it is most expected to continue its track eastwards.
