Chennai weather

As reiterated by Skymet Weather, after receiving few spells of rain, the weather will go dry over Tamil Nadu.

During the last 24 hours, scattered light rain and thundershowers occurred at many places over southern parts of the state. Meanwhile, northern parts of Tamil Nadu remained dry. In fact, few stations of Kerala also received some rains.

These rains can be attributed to a trough which is extending along the coast of Tamil Nadu. Now this system is likely to weaken gradually. In wake of this, the entire state of Tamil Nadu will remain dry with most parts of South India; however isolated parts of Kerala may get some spells of rains.

These weather conditions are expected to remain the same for at least next 2-3 days.

Maximum temperatures are likely to rise, resulting in warm and humid weather. On the other hand, morning and night temperatures may witness a drop over the region. Also, partly cloudy sky can be expected. But no rain is foreseen as of now over the state.

Weathermen say, another system will affect South Tamil Nadu Coast by February 19. With this system approaching, we can expect another spell of rain over the region.
