The western parts of the state of Rajasthan has not seen rains for the past many days. Moreover, with no rains in sight even furthermore, temperatures are expected to increase gradually, resulting in heat wave conditions over parts of Rajasthan.

The reason for heat wave is that weather conditions have become dry most parts of north India and due to this temperatures will be on the rise. There is a western disturbance travelling across the hills however it will remain confined to the western himalayan region and not result in any rainfall activity over north-west India.

Temperatures over Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar is as it is settling around 43-44 degrees Celsius, which is also the maximum across North India.

Moreover, in the coming days, both dust storm and heat wave are expected to be seen over Rajasthan for at least three days. The reason for upcoming dust storm is that cyclonic circulation is over north-west Rajasthan and Haryana region, which may trigger some gusty winds and isolated dust storm activity.
