Heatwave conditions have once again commenced over many parts of North Rajasthan, isolated pockets of South Haryana, Delhi-NCR and at a few places of Southwest Uttar Pradesh.

Now, southeasterly-easterly winds are blowing over West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and adjoining regions of Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram and Ghaziabad. Therefore, we expect temperatures to reduce over these regions, leading to the abatement of heatwave conditions.

Moreover, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, a trough is expected to form over parts of Haryana and Delhi-NCR by tomorrow. Hence, we expect isolated dust storm or light rain over parts of Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh by May 30.

As these activities will be short-lived and would occur in patches, a significant relief from the hot weather is not likely. The maximum temperatures would settle beyond 40°C across all the areas.

Meanwhile, winds over Rajasthan are still coming from Central Pakistan and Baluchistan. Therefore, we expect heatwave conditions to continue to prevail for another two days over North Rajasthan and South Haryana.

As per Skymet Weather, southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea will start reaching Rajasthan and Haryana by May 30 or 31. Thus, heatwave conditions will abate Rajasthan and Haryana as well by May 31. At present, the temperatures are settling beyond 45°C. After the abatement of heatwave the temperature is expected to reduce.
