The desert state of Rajasthan is expected to encounter yet another episode of a dust storm and thunderstorm with some isolated light spells. In fact, some light to moderate rains even occurred over many parts of the state during the last day as well.

Within the span of 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Sunday, Sawai Madhopur recorded 22 mm of rains, Sikar 16.5 mm, Bundi 13 mm, Tonk 11.4 mm, Pali 10 mm, Kota 7 mm, Bhilwara 6 mm, Churu 4.2 mm, Jodhpur 3.7 mm and Chittorgarh witnessed light rains of 0.5 mm.

As per Skymet Weather, the trough was extending from Punjab to East India across South Haryana and South Uttar Pradesh which resulted in scattered rains over most parts of the state. In addition to this, the easterly flow of winds that are humid and moist in nature were also prevailing over the region.

As of now, the winds have changed their direction and the easterly and southeasterly winds are swapped by the northwesterly winds. Being dry in nature, now, the weather of Rajasthan is likely to become dry and warm once again for the next two to three days.

However, the leftover moisture content due to past day’s rains may once again result in the development of thunderclouds over the region which may give some light dust storm and thunderstorm activities over the state.

However, the activity would be light to very light and isolated in nature, thus, it would not impact the temperatures much. Though the mercury levels would be on a rise, the feel effect would not be high.
