Effect of Low Pressure Area to give more rains in Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Sikar

Rain in Rajasthan

Monsoon rains have returned to the state of Rajasthan as, during the last 24 hours, light scattered rains made an appearance over the eastern districts of the state. Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur were the ones to witness these showers. As the effect of the Low-Pressure Area continues, more rains are likely in Kota, Udaipur, Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Sikar during the next few days.

According to our meteorologists, a gradual increase in rainfall activities is expected in East Rajasthan. This is because the Low-Pressure Area which is over Northwest Odisha is moving in west/northwest direction, thus coming closer to the state. Moreover, its western end of the axis of Monsoon Trough is shifting southwards. Hence, we expect rains to increase in East Rajasthan for the next two days.

Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Alwar, and parts of Jaipur will witness light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells. Ajmer may also receive a few good spells of rain. These on and off rains are likely until August 27.

August 28 onward, the weather would start clearing up once again, however, Barmer, Bali and the adjoining area may continue to get light to moderate rain and thundershower activities for some more time.

On the contrary, the western districts particularly, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Churu, and Sikar would remain deprived of good rains and will get to see light rains only during this entire rain episode.
