Good Monsoon rain for few more days in Nashik

Throughout June, Nashik has received occasional light rainfall which delayed the sowing at many areas of the district.

In July, rains picked up pace and the district managed to record moderate spells on July 2 and July 3. However, the next wet spells started on July 9 and continued till July 12. Henceforth, Nashik had observed heavy to very heavy rains.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Nashik recorded 13 mm of rains. Counting on this, the district has observed a total of 437 mm rains in the month of July surpassing its monthly average of 189.9 mm rains by almost double the amount.

As per Skymet Weather’s prediction, on and off rains are likely to continue over Nashik for at least another week.

Besides Nashik, other regions of Maharashtra have also recorded heavy to extremely heavy showers with most of them observing a three digit rainfall. Harnai, Ratnagiri and Vengurla observed 183.9 mm, 105.6 and 101.6 mm rains respectively in last 24 hours.
