Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP and Maharashtra continue their battle against heatwave

Heatwave would continue in parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra. The present situation shows further development of heatwave conditions in some more parts of Rajasthan adjoining South West Haryana in next 24 hours. Places like Fatehabad, Narnaul, Hisar, Bundi, Churu, Sikar and Sri Ganganagar would observe these activities.

According to meteorologists, the temperatures would rise over most parts of Rajasthan. Currently, Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jalore are already under the grip of heatwave conditions and increased temperatures. Mercury is expected to go up in Gujarat as well. Places like Ahmedabad, Amreli would see a further rise in day temperature which would settle around 43°C.

In Madhya Pradesh, Khargone, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Gwalior, Guna and Shivpuri are likely to come under the grip of heatwave conditions by April 4 or 5. In Vidarbha, most places are already witnessing 40°C plus temperatures. Amravati, Akola and Brahmapuri are already facing heatwave like conditions. In Marathwada, Beed and Parbhani are also observing heatwave conditions. The temperatures are likely to rise further in the Marathwada region in next 24 hours. The hot condition is likely to remain for at least a couple of days.

Parts of Chhattisgarh like Durg, Bastar and Bilaspur might also witness heatwave conditions, wherein the mercury would cross the 40°C mark, which would be above normal by 4-5 degrees. While, isolated activity can be witnessed in Marathwada, Vidarbha towards late afternoon. Parts of North Telangana like Nizamabad, Ramagundam and Adilabad would continue to witness heatwave type conditions.
