Days for Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh seem difficult again. Heatwave conditions are returning to both the states. The track of mercury being at its worse can be made out from the day’s maximums that are settling close to or above 45°C in most pockets of Rajasthan. While it is above 40°C in most parts of West Madhya Pradesh as well. Night temperature also does not seem to be doing any wonders for the states with an increase in most parts by 3°C to 4°C.

The reason for this hot and dry weather conditions can be credited to the northwesterly winds coming from the neighboring country Pakistan. Moreover, due to the geographical conditions of Rajasthan that contains a lot of dust particles that does not let the sun radiation to escape, the state absorbs more heat.

Mercury does not seem to be dipping in both the states in next couple of days. On Monday Phalodi recorded the temperature at 48.7°C. Temperature in Churu made a whopping jump of 7°C from the normal and settled at 48.5°C and Ganganagar witnessed 47°C. The day maximum for other parts of Rajasthan can be traced from the table:

Similar are the conditions for Madhya Pradesh where most parts have ended up recording temperature above 45°C. Ujjain recorded the daily maximum at 45.5°C, Khandwa recorded the maximum at 43.5°C. Other parts of the state also saw an increase in the maximums by 4°C to 5°C than their normal.
