Heavy Bengaluru rains make a comeback, showers to continue

Good Bengaluru rains had been staying away from the capital city of Karnataka with only light showers making appearances. However, for the last two to three days, rain gods had been bestowing enough kindness over the residents of the city of Bengaluru.

So much so that the city recorded heavy rains two days ago with moderate showers a day before. The last 24 hours were quite rainy for the city of Bengaluru. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, the airport observatory of Bengaluru recorded a whopping 67 mm of rains. Not only this, heavy showers to the tune of 55.8 mm were also witnessed over the city observatory.

These rainfall activities can be attributed to the presence of the east west trough which is running from South Coastal Andhra Pradesh up to Arabian Sea across North Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka.

These weather conditions are expected to persist and the city of Bengaluru will witness more rains today as well as tomorrow. In fact, the region is expected to witness light to moderate rains with isolated heavy showers.

These rainfall activities are expected to continue over Bengaluru today as well as tomorrow. In fact, the city will witness some rains during the weekend as well. Due to these rains, the 4th ODI between India and Australia scheduled for September 28, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is likely to be affected due to rains.
