Rainfall activity in Punjab and Haryana is presently being governed by two weather activities. One is a cyclonic circulation stationed over Punjab and its adjoining areas, while a Trough is running from Rajasthan across Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh up to Northeast India.

Both these systems will continue to impact the region and give moderate amounts of rain in Punjab and Haryana for the next 48 hours. Places along the foothills like Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Panchkula could receive heavy rains during this period.

Meanwhile, the Northern Limit of Monsoon has advanced further and covered entire Punjab and Haryana.
