Rain in Madhya Pradesh

Many districts of Madhya Pradesh have been continuously recording heavy to very rainfall activities since last many days. All thanks to the two weather systems which prevailed over the state, one being over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and another one over South Rajasthan.  Both the systems were responsible for bringing incessant rains over several districts of Madhya Pradesh.

In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Guna recorded 96.4 mm, Bhopal 44.8 mm, Ujjain 29.6 mm, Satna 15.4 mm and Khandwa 11 mm of rainfall. With this, flood threat has once again made a comeback over the state.

Due to this combined impact of weather systems, moderate rains and thundershowers may occur at many places along with heavy showers at few places over Dahod, Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Ashoknagar, Barwani, Betul, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Dewas, Dhar, East Nimar, Guna, Harda, Hoshangabad, Indore, Jhabua, Khargone, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sehore, Shajapur, Ujjain and Vidisha the districts of Madhya Pradesh today.

Places such as Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Dhar, Kargone, Ratlam, Jhabua and Alirajpur will continue to witness heavy to very heavy rains for the next few days. Whereas, eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh may receive scattered light rains only as the well-marked low pressure will now move in northwest direction.

However, by July 30, these weather systems are likely to become weak over the state and due to this weakening, the rains over Madhya Pradesh will gradually decrease resulting in giving some relief from these incessant rains and thundershowers.
