Hot weather in Andhra Pradesh in spite of patchy rains

October 15, 2015 2:39 PM |

Heat in Andhra PradeshMost of the interior parts of Andhra Pradesh are experiencing hot weather conditions with temperatures 3 to 4 degrees above normal. In spite of scattered rainfall over the state during last few days, maximum temperatures have been on the rise. This could be attributed to the rainfall pattern.

Convective clouds have been bringing rainfall mostly in late afternoon and early evening hours. And, by then the maximums already get registered. Clear sky in the day time leads to rise in temperatures, giving rise to convective clouds. Therefore, we can say that temperatures are high in the state in spite of patchy rains. Nevertheless, this is the normal pattern of rainfall witnessed in Peninsular India before the onset of Northeast Monsoon. Here’s a look at the maximum temperatures recorded on Wednesday:

Temperatures in Andhra Pradesh

With the commencement of Northeast Monsoon, convective clouds will give way to low and medium Monsoon clouds. This will bring rainfall towards late night and early morning hours. Day temperatures will come down considerably due to early morning showers and cloud cover till noontime.
