Hyderabad to swelter as maximums may reach 40 degrees Celsius

The first half of April for the state of Telangana was satisfactory in terms of some good amount of rains. However, as the month progressed, the number of rainy days reduced and dry days took over most parts of the state.

The last 24 hours also remained the same for the state and for the capital city of Hyderabad. It is due to the dry spell that the temperatures mounted and settled close to or even beyond the 40-degree mark.

On Tuesday also, the maximum temperatures of Adilabad, Ramagundam, and Nizamabad settled at 42ºC each. Bhadrachalam recorded the daytime high at 41.6ºC, Medak 40.5ºC and Khammam registered the daytime high at 40ºC. Meanwhile, the temperatures of the city of Nizams was comparatively better and settled at 39.4ºC.

As per Skymet Weather, the average normal temperatures of the parts of Telangana remain above 40 degrees Celsius. For instance, the average maximum of Nizamabad is 41ºC and for Ramagundam is 40ºC.

Hence, the present temperatures can be said are not very significant. As of now also, the hot and sunny weather is expected to continue over the many parts of Telangana for the upcoming days.

However, within the next three to four days, chances of isolated thunderstorm and thundershowers cannot be ruled.

At present, Telangana is expected to continue to witness hot weather conditions as day temperatures would continue to cross the 40-degree mark. In general, also, the month of April is one of the drier months for the state and we do not expect any significant pre-Monsoon activity apart from the isolated thunderstorm.
