In the past day also Monsoon remained active over southwestern parts of the state. In the last 24 hours, from 8.30 am on Monday Khandwa witnessed light rain of 11 mm and Guna 1 mm. Places such as Indore and Guna also recorded traces of rain. These rains can be attributed to the Low Pressure which was persisting over Madhya Pradesh yesterday has now shifted towards Gujarat.

The axis of Monsoon trough is also moving Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Odisha towards East Central Bay of Bengal. These two combined weather systems have given rains over the state. It is anticipated that the axis of Monsoon trough is likely to move towards North once again and the Low Pressure over Gujarat region is also likely to become insignificant.
