March 4, 2020 10:03 AM |

During the last two to three days, southern districts of Bihar and parts of Jharkhand have received rains and thundershower activities. While Gaya received 4 mm rains, Ranchi 13 mm and Jamshedpur recorded 12 mm rains.

Now, we expect these rains to continue over Jharkhand and Bihar in the coming days also. Multiple places in Jharkhand, particularly Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Chaibasa will get rains and thundershowers. However, rains will continue over the southern districts of Bihar for another 24 hours. On March 6 and 7, most parts of Bihar and Jharkhand will receive good rains. One or two heavy spells cannot be ruled out. Lightning strikes, hailstorm and strong winds are also possible. The peak intensity of this activity is expected from the night of March 5 until March 6.

These rain activities will start reducing from Jharkhand and Bihar by the latter half of March 7. Also, by evening, the rain belt will shift over northeastern parts of Jharkhand and eastern parts of Bihar. By March 8, the weather of entire eastern parts of the country will go dry.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures are likely to take a dip as rains continue over the region.
