The Northern Plains of India have remained dry for quite some time now. In fact, the last time that the region saw some rains was around December 11 and 12. Since then, weather has remained dry over the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi as well as Rajasthan.
The extended dry spell has resulted in prolonged coldwave conditions over many areas. Meanwhile, the states of Punjab and Haryana have experienced occurrences of thick fog during the last many days. Delhi has also seen a few zero visibility days in the past.
However, most parts of Rajasthan have remained fog free. In fact, even if the fog has made appearances, it has not been as intense. Jaipur, which happens to be the primary diversion for aviation has not seen any fog this season.

The reason for no fog show over the region is that the states of Punjab and Haryana witness high humidity during the morning hours. The winds while travelling towards the Rajasthan region shed their moisture as they blow overland. Thus, humidity level goes down.
Moreover, due to the absence of weather systems conspicuously missing, there has not been any increase in the humidity levels after all.

For fog formation, humidity levels of at least 90 percent or so is required. However, the above table clearly shows that Jaipur in the past few days has not seen humidity levels going anywhere close to 90 percent barring one day when it was at 86 percent.
Other conditions that are required for the formation of fog including low temperatures and light winds are present in Jaipur. However, it is the moisture content that continued to remain missing. Conditions are likely to remain the same in the coming days as well.
