The month of October was not very constructive in terms of rainfall for Bengaluru. However, on the contrary, November started with rainy traces for the IT Hub though it brought dry days for most parts of the state including over the coastal stations.
The impact of Northeast Monsoon is very light for Karnataka unlike over Tamil Nadu which has been bracing moderate to heavy and extremely heavy showers over the coastal regions.
The last 24 hours also were more or less the same for Karnataka wherein most of the districts of the state including the coastal stations have remained dry. Though the regions of South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru saw some light rainy traces.

Within the span of 24 hours from 08:30 am as on Wednesday, Bengaluru recorded merely 0.3 mm of light spells. The reason for the light rainy activity over the southern interior regions of the state and dry days over most of the other districts can be attributed to the cyclonic circulation which is over the Southwest Bay of Bengal.
This weather system has been continuously giving good rains over Tamil Nadu and thus over the adjoining southern interior districts of Karnataka.

Further, this weather system is expected to continue to give good rains over Tamil Nadu, but Karnataka will receive comparatively lesser rains. As per Skymet Weather, the rain activity will mainly remain confined to the South Interior districts of the state including Bengaluru for the next 2-3 days and will reduce thereafter.
On the other hand, the districts of North Interior and coastal Karnataka such as Karwar, Mangaluru, Hassan, Gadag, and Mysuru are expected to remain dry and sunny.
