The region of Vidarbha is receiving light to moderate rain and thundershower for the last few days. Some of the places in the region to observe the rainfall activity are Nagpur, Nanded, Chandrapur and Gondia. The rain belt is now expected to shift southwards and cover more parts of Maharashtra.

A Trough is currently extending from Bihar up to Telangana across Vidarbha. This weather system will give more rains and thundershower activities in Vidarbha until tomorrow.

Thereafter the rainfall activities will shift Southwards and start affecting parts of Marathwada. This is going to boon for the region as it has not received any weather activity for the last many days.

According to Skymet forecast, both the regions of Vidarbha and Marathwada will receive rain and thundershower activities for the next two to three days. By February 9, the weather activities in Vidarbha will start reducing but parts of Marathwada will continue to observe some rain. North Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa will remain dry and the minimum temperature will remain above normal in most places in the state. The day temperature may drop by two to four degrees in Vidarbha and Marathwada due to the upcoming spell of rain.
