Maharashtra to experience rains around March 10

Maharashtra has experienced unseasonal and heavy showers from March 1 to March 5. Few areas like Nashik received hailstorm. This weather activity managed to damage crops like that of Pomegranate. Having said that, the weather will remain clear as of now, at least till March 11.

Skymet predicts that by March 12 a trough is expected to form between Konkan & Goa to northeast Madhya Pradesh, with Maharashtra sitting right between it.

Due to this trough fairly widespread rain and thunderstorm are expected over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada and Vidarbha

But gradually by March 14 this rain belt will shift towards east. And on March 14 Marathwada and Vidarbha will receive rain. And the rain intensity will reduce significantly over Madhya Maharashtra.

By March 15, this trough will become insignificant and rain will cease. The weather will clear out back to normal.

During the upcoming 7 days, isolated hailstorm activity and strong winds cannot be ruled out.

During this season, thundery build up and hail is common. Though rainfall will not likely to damage to standing crops but squally winds may just turn out to be the antagonist. But as the intensity and area will be very less for these squally winds to play therefore the extent of damage will not be much.
