The national capital has enjoyed fairly cool March. As per normals the month starts with 28/29 degrees and ends with 34/35 degrees. However, the highest maximum in this month so far has recorded 33.3 degrees only. The first half of the month got arrested in low and mid-twenties. The later half only recorded the temperature of 30 degrees and above. So far the average maximum temperature for Delhi for the month till 29 March is 28.3 degrees. In the remaining two days the maximum is likely to be around 32/33 degrees and therefore the month is going to settle with an average of 28.4 degrees. This is nearly 3-4 degrees below the normal and goes on to ascertain the month to be much cooler than what is invariably seen.

The month of April also is going to commence on a mild note. A fresh western disturbance is arriving tonight over Jammu and Kashmir and the weather system is going to induce a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan in the proximity of national capital. Under its influence, Delhi NCR can expect light rain and thundershower possibly accompanied with strong winds towards late in the evening or night on Tuesday. Subsequently, bright and sunny days are likely with a rise in the day temperature to possibly breach the mark of 35 degrees in the next one week.
